Why Families Love Community Playground at Lakeside Park
Located just steps from the Naples Causeway, Community Playground at Lakeside Park is one of the best playground destinations in the Sebago Lake region. Families can spend time climbing, swinging, and sliding before walking to nearby ice cream shops, restaurants, the public waterfront, or seasonal community events.
The playground offers something for toddlers through elementary-aged kids with a nice mix of traditional playground equipment and more adventurous climbing features. While the playground is only partially fenced, the fencing helps define much of the play area, making it feel more contained than many community playgrounds.
Because of its central location, this playground also works well as part of a larger family outing. Whether you’re spending the day exploring Naples, attending an event on the Causeway, or simply looking for a fun place to burn off energy, it’s an easy stop that offers plenty to do.

The large multi-level playground structure offers plenty of ways for kids to climb, explore, and challenge themselves before choosing one of three slides back to the ground.

Shade: Moderate. A covered pavilion provides shade near the playground, with additional shade from nearby trees throughout parts of the day.
Restrooms: Seasonal portable toilet located near the playground. Restrooms inside the Naples Town Office may also be available during regular business hours.
Seating: Covered pavilion with two picnic tables plus additional benches around the playground.
Water Access: No drinking fountain was available during our visit. Bring water, especially on warm summer days.

Parking: Parking is available adjacent to the playground.
Accessibility: Mulch playground surface. Most walkways leading to the playground are paved.
Cell Service/Wi-Fi: Strong cell service throughout the area.

Parent Pointers
Visibility: Good. The playground has open sightlines, making it easy to supervise children from nearby benches or the pavilion.
Safety Notes: The playground is partially fenced, helping define much of the play area, but children can still exit toward surrounding sidewalks and park areas. Extra supervision is recommended for younger children.
Nearby Food & Coffee: One of this playground’s biggest advantages is its location. The Naples Causeway is just a short walk away, offering restaurants, cafés, pizza, ice cream, and seasonal food stands.
Best Time to Visit: Weekday mornings are usually the quietest. Summer afternoons and weekends can become busy with families visiting the Causeway or attending local events.
