Trail Experience

The Sebago Cove Trail begins at the Sebago Cove Forest parking area on Burnell Road in Naples. You’ll spot blue trail markers guiding the way — the same type you’ll find on other LELT properties. The path starts gently, meandering through a quiet stand of hemlocks before transitioning to a mix of pine and hardwood forest with pops of color in every season.

Families will appreciate the well-maintained bridges and stepping-stone crossings that make navigating low or muddy sections easy. The trail climbs gradually before descending toward the shoreline of Sebago Cove, where you’ll find a peaceful water view — the perfect spot for a snack break or nature observation.

Keep your eyes out for:

  • Loons and ducks on the cove
  • Moss-covered boulders and tree roots that spark kids’ curiosity
  • Woodpeckers and chickadees flitting through the trees

The loop offers just enough variety to keep kids engaged without being too long or strenuous. The forest is rich with texture and color, and in fall, the reflections across the cove are simply stunning.
