Brackett’s Orchard (Limington)

Our 2025 Favorite! 🍎

Brackett’s Orchard was our family’s favorite apple-picking stop in 2025. Set on a scenic hilltop in Limington, it has that classic Maine orchard feel that makes a simple morning of apple picking feel like a special fall outing.

We loved wandering through the rows of apple trees with the kids, filling our bags together, and enjoying time outside on a beautiful fall day. It was exactly the kind of simple seasonal adventure we look forward to repeating each year.

Families can pick their own apples and enjoy additional seasonal activities throughout the fall. Depending on when you visit, you may also find hayrides, baked goods, pumpkin painting, and other special weekend activities.

Randall Orchards (Standish)

A longtime local favorite, Randall Orchards has been growing apples in Standish for generations. The 60-acre orchard offers dozens of apple varieties throughout the season, along with other produce and plenty of classic fall fun.

In addition to pick-your-own apples, families can stop at the farm stand for fresh cider and seasonal treats. Tractor rides are also offered during apple season, making a trip here an easy fall family outing.

Doles Orchard (Limington)

Doles Orchard offers a scenic farm setting and a variety of pick-your-own crops throughout the growing season, including apples in the fall.

Orchard Ridge Farm (Gorham)

Orchard Ridge Farm combines apple picking with plenty of other reasons to linger. Set on 38 acres of orchards and woodland, the farm grows a variety of modern and antique apples selected for eating, baking, sauce, and cider.

One feature families with younger children may especially appreciate is that many of the apple trees are maintained at kid-friendly heights, making it easier for little hands to pick their own fruit.

Five Fields Farm (Bridgton)

Five Fields Farm has deep roots in Bridgton, with land first settled in 1776. Today, the farm continues the area’s agricultural tradition with acres of apple trees surrounded by beautiful western Maine scenery.

Families can find several familiar apple varieties throughout the season, with both pick-your-own and already-picked apples typically available.
