Some beaches are open to everyone, while others are reserved for local residents. Knowing where you can go—and what each beach offers—can make planning your next lake day much easier.

Public Beaches on Sebago Lake

Tassel Top Park – Raymond

Address: Tassel Top Road, Raymond
Admission: Raymond Residents: $2 (ages 3–12), $5 (ages 13–64). Non-Residents: $4 (ages 3–12), $7 (ages 13–64). Season passes available.

Tassel Top Park is one of the most popular family beaches on Sebago Lake. The park features a 900-foot sandy beach with shallow water, wooded walking trails, picnic areas, charcoal grills, changing rooms, restrooms, and a snack shack during the summer. Three trails connect the parking areas to the beach, including a stroller-friendly route. 


Sebago Lake State Park – Casco

Address: 11 State Park Road, Casco
Admission: Children (5–11): $1 • Adult Maine Resident: $6 • Adult Non-Resident: $8

Sebago Lake State Park offers one of the largest public beach experiences in the region. Families can spend the entire day enjoying the sandy beach, playground, picnic areas, campground, hiking trails, boat launch, and seasonal snack shack. Weekdays are typically less crowded than weekends. 


Nason’s Beach – Sebago

Address: 875 Sebago Road, Sebago
Admission: $15 per vehicle

Located along the western shore of Sebago Lake, Nason’s Beach offers a relaxed family atmosphere with a sandy shoreline, gradual swimming area, onsite general store, boat launch, campground, and plenty of parking. It’s a great option for families looking for a quieter beach experience while still enjoying public lake access. 


Raymond Beach

Address: Route 302, Raymond
Admission: Free

Raymond Beach is a small public beach with free parking, a gradual sandy shoreline, and a public boat launch. While it doesn’t offer playgrounds or concessions, it’s an excellent choice for families looking for a simple swim or quick stop along the lake. Arriving early on busy weekends is recommended. 


Resident Beaches on Sebago Lake

Rich Memorial Beach – Standish

Address: 100 Newbegin Way, Standish
Admission: Standish residents only ($10 day pass or $35 season pass with proof of residency)

Rich Memorial Beach is reserved for Standish residents and offers a quiet, family-friendly atmosphere with a sandy beach, paddleboard rentals, changing rooms, picnic tables, grills, and shallow swimming. Because access is limited to residents, it rarely feels overcrowded. 


Sebago Town Beach

Address: Marina Road, Sebago
Admission: Valid Sebago resident beach pass required

Sebago Town Beach provides local families with a peaceful sandy beach, picnic tables, restrooms, boat launch, and calm swimming area. The gradual shoreline makes it a comfortable choice for children, while the resident-only access helps keep the beach uncrowded throughout the summer. 


Planning Your Sebago Lake Beach Day

Every beach around Sebago Lake offers something a little different. If you’re looking for the most amenities, Tassel Top Park and Sebago Lake State Park are excellent choices. Families wanting a quieter experience may enjoy Nason’s Beach or Raymond Beach, while Standish and Sebago residents have access to beautiful local beaches reserved primarily for their communities.

No matter which beach you choose, don’t forget to pack:

  • Sunscreen
  • Water and snacks
  • Towels
  • Sand toys
  • Beach chairs or blankets
  • An umbrella for extra shade

Arriving early on warm summer weekends is always a good idea, especially at the larger public beaches where parking can fill quickly.
