Summer evenings around the Sebago Lake region are made for live music. Whether it’s a concert in a park, music downtown with food vendors, or a community gathering under the gazebo, these free outdoor concerts are an easy way for families to spend time together without spending much money.
Pack a few lawn chairs, bring a blanket, grab an ice cream on the way, and enjoy some live music while the kids dance, play, and run around with friends.

More Places to Find Live Music This Summer
While these dedicated concert series are some of the easiest ways to catch live music around the Sebago Lake region, they’re far from the only opportunities to enjoy outdoor performances during the summer.
Farmers Markets
Many local farmers markets feature musicians throughout the season, making it easy to pair live music with fresh produce, baked goods, local crafts, and a family outing.
Markets in towns like Gorham, Windham, Bridgton, and Steep Falls frequently host local performers during market hours. Music schedules often vary from week to week, so it’s worth checking market social media pages before you go.

Food Truck Nights
Several weekly food truck gatherings have become unofficial live music nights as well.
Standish Sunset Eats regularly features local musicians alongside food trucks and family activities throughout the summer. Other food truck parks and community gatherings around the region often add live entertainment as attendance grows throughout the season.
These events tend to be especially family-friendly since kids can play while parents relax, eat dinner, and enjoy the music.

Summer Festivals & Community Events
Some of the biggest live music events of the year happen during local festivals and community celebrations.
Throughout the summer you’ll often find bands and performers at:
- Fourth of July celebrations
- Community Days festivals
- Old Home Days events
- Summer fairs and carnivals
- Downtown street festivals
- Food truck festivals
- Arts and craft fairs
Many of these events combine live music with food vendors, children’s activities, parades, fireworks, and other entertainment, making them great choices for a full family outing.
The easiest way to keep track of these events is by checking the Lake Region Kids Calendar throughout the summer as new festivals and entertainment schedules are announced.
Why Families Love Summer Concerts
Outdoor concerts are one of those simple summer activities that work for nearly every age.
Toddlers can dance in the grass.
Older kids can play with friends.
Parents can relax for a little while without needing to entertain everyone every minute.
Many of these events also pair well with nearby playgrounds, beaches, walking trails, food trucks, or local restaurants, making them an easy addition to a summer family adventure.
Best of all, they’re completely free.
