Frog Pond Trail is tucked behind Raymond Elementary School and serves as an outdoor learning area for students during the school day. The space features an approximately 0.5-mile walking trail surrounding a pond and wooded area, making it an approachable destination for even young hikers.
The pond is easily the highlight for kids. It’s home to plenty of frogs and turtles, with observation areas where families can stop, look into the water, and see what they can discover. Bring a small net along and give yourself extra time here—the wildlife watching may end up being more exciting than the walk itself!
Beyond the pond, the outdoor learning area gives kids several other ways to play and explore.
Beside the pond you’ll find climbing bars where kids can hang, climb, and test their strength. There’s also a covered pavilion with benches, providing a shady place to take a break, enjoy a snack, or gather friends for an outdoor story time.
A second uncovered seating area features a collection of benches that can become part of the adventure, too. Kids can turn them into their own balancing course, moving from one to another and finding creative ways to navigate the space.
