Trail Experience
Jagolinzer Preserve may be short, but it packs plenty of adventure into its 0.7-mile walk.
The trail winds through a quiet forest while following Pease Brook. Within just a few minutes, you’ll arrive at one of the preserve’s biggest highlights—a beautiful waterfall where water tumbles over broad rock ledges before continuing downstream.
On warm summer days, many families climb onto the rocks or carefully wade into the brook to cool off. Kids love hopping between the rocks, searching for small pools, and exploring the flowing water.
Beyond the falls, the trail continues alongside Pease Brook until it reaches the Saco River. The peaceful riverbank makes a wonderful place to pause before retracing your steps back to the parking area.
Although the hike is relatively short, there are several steeper sections with exposed roots and uneven footing that make it feel a little more adventurous than many family nature walks.
