Hi,

I am a lifelong Mainer and the creator of Lake Region Kids Calendar! As a mom of two living and playing in the Sebago Lake Region, I love staying active indoors and outdoors, sharing local hidden gems, and highlighting the kid and family friendly events and activities that make our community special.
Fall in Maine, particularly around Sebago Lake, is celebrated with various beloved festivals and fairs, offering activities like pumpkin picking, corn mazes, and live music. Highlights for 2026 include the Sunflower Festival, Hurricane Meadows Fall Festival, and Fryeburg Fair, providing family-friendly fun and community engagement amidst the beautiful autumn scenery.
Apple picking in Maine offers a delightful fall experience for families, with local orchards like Brackett’s and Randall Orchards providing pick-your-own opportunities, seasonal activities, and treats like cider donuts. This cherished tradition allows families to enjoy the outdoors while supporting local farms. Remember to check fruit availability before visiting.
Sebago Community Playground, located at Sebago Elementary School, is open to the public outside school hours for children aged 2-12. The playground features multiple climbing structures, swings, seesaws, and a shaded pavilion for picnics. Families can explore diverse play options while ensuring children’s safety and enjoyment.
Bald Pate Mountain in Bridgton, ME, offers various hiking trails suitable for families, ranging from easy to challenging. With options like the gentle Bob Chase Trail and the steep Pate Trail, families can choose routes based on experience and energy. Scenic views and a separate lookout at Foster Pond enhance the adventure.
Stay updated on family friendly events happening in the Sebago Lake Region!
